February 11 and 18, 2012- Weather Permitting

The past two weeks have been very challenging. Joey Cruse went out on the 11th. There was a big challenge as it was very cold. There was not many present there, but the work has been done.

We have been able to help Susan to a larger degree as she has been in and out of the hospital with mouth sores. We continue to bring food and the gospel to these areas.

On the 18th we head out to Lancaster to Union Gospel Mission. There we found well over 100 homeless folk under shade from the rain. It was a steady downpour. Northwood Church accompanied us with 25 students and a few adults. Many were able to give out toiletries, sandwiches, and socks to help them out.

It was a blessing to serve alongside all these men and teenagers who have a heart to serve and help the poor. I am reminded from Acts 20 when Paul encouraged the believers of Ephesus he said this, "You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my own needs and to the men that were with me. in everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
