January 7, 2011- MHMR #7

What a great joy it was, to come back and visit them again.

There are a few updates on the prayer list. Brad, one of their patients is still in the hospital. Chad, whom we saw on Christmas Day, wnet to the hospital and his health is waning. Charles is looking to leave to an apartment in March. Robert is still awaiting his court date for his benefits (food stamps). Please pray for a new member, Jimmy miller. Keep many of them in your mind.

We went over John 6 and 7. They really are enjoying the Bible studies. Many of them just enjoying the time to READ. It's like teaching grade school again and these men and women just enjoy reading what the Lord has to say to them. Continue to keep all of us in prayer.

Purpose

We really try hard to not seek recognition or a name. Whatever we do, we do for the sake of Christ. We long to be ashamed in this world, in order to boast in our heavenly Father.

Jesus on his sermon on the mount clearly validates this in Matthew 6:2-4, “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

We are completely based out families and the church body that are willing to give up of their time to go completely mobile.

Using that God given vessel we travel up and down streets stopping at hotspots to drop off clothes, blankets, food, shelter, care, and prayer to whomever is homeless or low-income that need help.

We have no reservation towards any race, color, ethnicity, or gender.

Our desire is to incorporate the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19,20) and the Greatest Commandment (Matt. 22:36-40) with an intertwined passion that would invade the world with God's great love.

Finally, we believe in God's forgiveness of sins. We believe that homelessness is their present state of need and not the condition of their heart. They have a home with us, because we are the body of Christ. We seek to serve and help them because they also are in the kingdom of God; if they believe. If not, we seek to share the gospel with our voices, hands, and feet!!!
